It will keep your child secure and comfortable up to 6 months old. It is designed with an inner strap that acts like a band that keeps your baby from sliding down on the inlay. You can secure the band around your baby and velcro it closed and then zip open or close the front cover. This inlay can be used all year round, but is especially useful as the weather starts turning cold.
